Definition of Terms

Delegate

Each mission and parish selects delegates according to the number of communicant members, with each entitled to a minimum of two delegates. Alternates are often also selected. Alternates may attend Synod even if the delegates are attending. The fee for all delegates, alternates and clergy is $185. Delegates (or alternates in their stead) vote on all motions and receive all support Synod documents.

Alternate

An alternate is a person who will substitute for the chosen church delegate if the delegate is unable to attend. Alternates need not register if they will not be present at this Synod. If an alternate does attend and receives all the Synod documentation, the fee is $185.

Guest

Anyone who is not a delegate or alternate may attend Synod meetings and partake of all meals served by Synod. Guests will not receive any Synod documentation. The fee, which includes the Banquet aboard the Endeavor, IS $75.

Travel

This information will help us organize a shuttle service for those arriving at the John Wayne Orange County International Airport. If you do not know the information at the time you submit your registration, you may mail the information later, e-Mail Judy Creel or use the web on-line Transportation Request Form.

Those arriving at Los Angeles International or Long Beach can contact Prime Time Shuttle at  www.primetimesshuttle.com to arrange a shuttle. Prime Time Shuttle also serves Lindberg Field in San Diego (SAN), Bob Hope Field in Burbank (BUR) and Ontario International Airport (ONT).

Pre-Synod Meetings

There are three (3) meetings before Synod begins. If you are attending any of these, please check them off on the form. This will help us in making room arrangements.

Parking

Parking is limited at the Church and therefore shuttle service to and from the Marriott Courtyard and Residence Inn will be provided. It is also an easy walk for anyone wishing exercise. Please note that the hotels do not provide any shuttle service.

Meals

All meals are provided during Synod. For those in town on Sunday and Monday, there are several good restaurants south of the I-405 Freeway on Brookhurst Street. We hope you will attend the Beer'n Brat Dinner Monday evening because it is a fund raiser for the International Anglican Fellowship.
